Nephrops norvegicus (common names include: Langoustine, Norway Lobster or Dublin Bay prawn) is a small lobster most commonly referred to as scampi or langoustine. Nephrops are widely distributed on muddy substrata throughout the Northeast Atlantic ( IUCN, 2015 ) and are found around most of the British coastline, with considerable populations in the Clyde Sea and Scottish sea lochs ( MarLIN, 2008 ).
